From what Shane said in the clip i learnt that he makes films of a low budget because if you used the most amazing actors and spent lots of money on the film it not always going to be successful. He made films that wern't about the ators but about the story. Also he made films of social realism, therefore he was trying to re-create reality. His biggest challenge for this is engalnd was creating a 1980's film for not alot of money. He brought 1980's cars off of ebay to save money rather than hiring them.
