Tv Drama - generic conventions

I have chosen to review a scene from Benidorm, i will be analysing the first minute of the scene.

Characters: Madge - Mouthy, funny, quite naughty character who seems to have a strong opinion on people.
Other lady- seems quite rude but she has reason to because Madge has just insulted her.

Stories:
Benidorm is set in a holiday resort where a family stays but there is always some corruption that occurs. This is mostly in an outside location which is around the swimming pool, which uses outside effects of natural daylight.

Camerawork:
This particular clip has lots of different sorts of shots, these are shot/reverse shots to show interaction between characters, over the shoulder shots to show the characters talking to one and other, mid-shots of the characters faces and close ups to show the characters emotions. Dialogue is also used in this clip. The editing in this scene is very precis and uses matchon action, also it sticks to the 180 degree rule.

Music:
The music used for this clip creates more tension between the characters and suspense, the music used for this certain clip in Benidorm really relates to the Spain theme and also because these lady's are arguing it sound like it a battle going on like in bull fighting they use similar music. Icons in the music symbolises the genre. Using different music can give a different interpretation of what is happening.
